Twitter has revealed a new insights feature for publishers, that allows them to monitor when users are actively watching videos on the social media network.
Called ‘Timing is Everything’, the tool marks the company’s continued efforts to develop its features for publishers.
It can be found in Insights within the Twitter Media Studio below the Analytics dropdown menu.
Timing is Everything uses a colour graph to show data when Twitter audiences were actively viewing videos or not.
The social media site hopes that these insights can boost engagement and viewership rates for publisher content. Knowing which videos perform best lies at the heart of creating content that audiences choose to watch.
The chart cannot yet split into organic follower views, which means that for now all users are counted, whether they are already following a publisher or not.
For maximum interaction, Twitter believes its best to post video content continuously throughout the day.
