CPV stands for Cost-Per-View, it’s an advertising payment model that implies advertisers are charged when their video ads are viewed. This is one of the major metrics to measure effectiveness of video advertising. The biggest video advertising platform is Google’s AdWords and it has two major types of CPV ads – In-Stream and In-Display. The first type implies placing video ads before or within videos hosted on YouTube and the latter implies appearing video ads on YouTube along with regular videos.
