Splash, a 360-degree video sharing platform, has completed a $2.5m funding round and celebrated with the launch of an updated version of its app. The latest investment round was led by Greyloft Partners, with additional involvement from Felix Capital, Advancit, Seedcamp, and BDMI.

The app capitalizes on the growing interest in content designed for viewing on mobile VR headsets, and allows users to take and share 360-degree pictures and video using their phones, then share them online for friends.
Michael Ronen, Splash co-founder, said:
“We wanted to make virtual reality accessible to ordinary people like you and me. We wanted to create an emotional experience so that no matter what vacation, family event, or everyday Splash, the participants feel that they are also there.”
