YouTube launched a new feature that automatically creates a list of products in videos.
In a blog post the company said that it was experimenting with a feature that displays products in the form of videos.
The videos will appear between recommended videos to help “explore more videos and information about those products on YouTube.”
This feature will be available to people watching videos in the US.
The move is aligned with other social networks as lockdowns have led more consumers to flock online to purchase products.
For example, Twitter has been testing a Shop button.
Studies have shown that 97% of Gen Z use social media as a main source to find product inspirations.
