TikTok has rolled out a new app that caters specifically to its community of sellers and brands.
TikTok Seller is currently only available in Indonesia has been specifically designed for merchants and brands to manage their inventory and orders and track insights into products and campaigns.
Sellers are also able to access educational content on marketing and selling practices on the app.
It is part of the company’s Shopping pilot program and if all goes well would likely be extended toward additional countries.
Given widespread smartphone adoption in Indonesia it has served as a test market for TikTok for quite some time.
The company also released a Seller University website earlier in 2021 aimed at an Indonesian audience. The website details how brands can advertise their products more effectively and start selling on TikTok.
More recently it added Live shopping features for sellers to promote products as part of live-streams.
