Part of what makes TikTok a user favourite are the video app’s extensive range of features that allow users to creatively edit their videos.
Now, the company has rolled out Stitch, a new feature that clips and integrates scenes from other user’s videos into one’s own.
The company touts it as another way to engage with the community.
Much like Duet, Stitch can be used to reinterpret and remix existing content into stories and other types of posts.
But if users want their content to remain exclusive, they can opt out of Stitch to be available.
They simply disable or enable Stitch from the Settings and Privacy section of the app.
The option can be adjusted for each individual video.
Videos made using Stitch always carry attribution to the original creator and even a link back to the original content.
To Stitch a video together, users just click the “Send to” button on the video they want to use. Then press “Stitch” and select up to five seconds from their preferred clip and record their own addition to it.
