TikTok has made it into the lime light after its new commercial “Good Vibes” featuring the Fleetwood Mac song “Dreams” went viral.
The commercial is part of a wider “It Starts on TikTok” campaign and features user Nathan Apodaca lip-syncing along to the track while sipping Ocean Spray juice.
In TikTok fashion, it is 15 seconds long.
The video posted in September now has some 33+ million views on the short-form video app. It’s been shared widely on social media.
Even Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood and Ocean Spray CEO Tom Hayes shared the video.
The song had its best streaming week ever following the release of the video and the #oceanspray tag had 25 million views.
The success of the campaign could be a useful indicator for marketers and brands that TikTok advertising is working.
It also demonstrates that feel-good video ads are working.
The app has been bolstering its advertising effort in the wake of a possible ban in the US. The app could be banned by November 12th.
