Real estate and rental apps have been booming in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to new data from SensorTower, US consumer interest in these apps was still strong during the first half of 2021, rising 14% to over 23 million install from 20.3 million in 2020.
The top 30 apps saw over 12 million downloads.
Adoption was lower in Q2 2021, but there was still strong growth compared to the same period in 2020, rising 7% to 11 million downloads.
Zillow saw some of the largest number in installs at 7.7 million in H1 2021. Overall, its market share however is beginning to decline from 48% in 2020 to 44% in 2021 as competitors are performing more strongly.
The top ten real estate management apps in the US noted an uptick in downloads in December 2020 and continued to climb in the first half of 2021. Installs were up 80%.
