In the early days of digital marketing, ads were traded in much the same way you’d buy a regular magazine ad. Salespeople would reach agreements with advertisers to place a banner on a website for a specific period. If you chose to advertise on a large publisher’s website there was no way of knowing who saw your ads. The problem with this approach was targeting.
This sounds ancient in 2021. We have a bunch of criteria nowadays to make the ad convertible, we know our audience, and with growing publishers’ capabilities, we just may get lost in inventories and ad placements.
That’s when Programmatic Advertising steps in. RTB is a way of buying and selling ads through real-time auctions, meaning transactions are made in the time it takes to load a webpage: around 100 ms. Real-Time Bidding allows for better and quicker targeting, enabling ads to be bought and sold on a per-case basis, meaning only visitors who are in your target audiences will be subjected to the ad.
With things developing that fast, publishers may have a problem with some types of ad content on their platforms. This is why we want to present a new feature on Mobupps iRTB platform. We integrated a tech that can filter a list of preferences for publishers to make sure undesirable ad types will never show up on a platform. Things just got much easier to control, here’s a short preview of the latest iRTB innovation.
