During this year’s Super Bowl season, which kicks off on February 7, consumers are looking forward to funny (81%) and heartwarming adverts (36%) on both TV and their mobile devices.
THat’s according to new research from AdColony, the mobile ad experts.
The latest survey found that smartphones are playing a much bigger role this year, not at least because of the continuing pandemic lockdowns.
While the majority of people (70%) will still be watching the game on TV, 25% said they would watch on connected TV in 2021, a 12% rise over the previous year.
And some respondents said they would view on multiple devices.
Viewers plan to use their mobile devices to text (36%) during the game, use social media apps (35%) and play mobile games (29%).
Multiple devices are becoming the norm to keep up with the game especially since Super Bowl parties won’t be happening this year.
43% said they found it important to keep up with the game using multiple devices, with a majority citing their smartphones as one of the most important technologies to stay in touch with other fans.
