Now, some users are being given the option to add a link to their Stories.
When a third party then clicks on the ‘See more’ button, they are being redirected to a website or external link of the poster’s choosing.
The option to add a link will be visible in the Stories option. Links can be edited before publishing.
Users can simply swipe on their mobile screens to visit the external sites.
However, the feature is currently only available for LinkedIn Pages or members with more than 5,000 connections or followers.
While Stories have been exploding across most social media apps like Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram, it’s not yet clear if they can see the same success on LinkedIn.
As younger users flock to the site, it may gain in relevance but for now posts are still among the most important tools on the career networking site.
