The ranking of the most downloaded apps in March 2021 saw a return to old favourites with TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram leading the listing.
According to new data from AppFigures, Spotify finally ranked among the top 10 for the first time last month.
Interestingly, app revenues continue to grow at a much higher rate than before the pandemic. It shows that consumers are more willing to spend their money in-app or on app services.
Among the top 10 most downloaded games, total downloads shot up to 233 million, a return to January levels after dipping in February.
Among Us! is no longer among the top 10 Google Play Games, which suggests that hyper casual games may be becoming harder to compete with.
