Facebook experienced a serious outage in early October that affected all of its apps. It lasted seven hours during which consumers abandoned Instagram, WhatsApp and co.

The outage was mostly concentrated on North and South America and Europe given the timing it happened at.

Now, App Annie has released finding as to which apps consumers used during this time.

Aside from other communication apps such as Telegram, users also turned to entertainment apps.

In the UK, dating apps like eHarmony were popular experiencing a 130% boost in time spent in-app.

Tinder saw usage rise by 35%.

Trading apps like Binance, Crypto.com and TradingView were also popular during Facebook’s downtime.

However, Clubhouse saw some of the most notable growth, nearly doubling the average time users spend in it.
