Facebook launched Fantasy Games in the US and Canada for iOS and Android apps.
The games are free to play and are specifically meant to engage fans of sports, TV shows and pop culture.
They do this by essentially merging the social aspect of Facebook with traditional fantasy sports.
Players can create their own fantasy league and compete with friends. Leagues are either public or private.
The first game to be launched on the channel is Pick & Play Sports in partnership with Whistle Sports.
The social network said in a blog post that it planned to roll out games with TV shows such as CBS’s Survivor and ABC’s The Bachelorette.
Facebook has been busy expanding into gaming in recent years to compete with Apple and Google.
The network also recently expanded its licensing music agreements for Gaming.
