Apperian has announced a new mobile app testing tool for enterprises, which helps them soft launch business-to-employee and B2C apps within the company.
Apperian says it’s “Testflight alternative” lets firms test their apps internally with employees, as well as with testers outside the organisation, such as consumers and contractors. The platform features over-the-air auto app updates, remote control, which lets devs remotely watch tested apps, self-registration, detailed usage reporting and centralised feedback collection – providing users with a iTunes-style commenting system.
Carlos Montero-Luque, CTO at Apperian, said:
“With our platform, we’ve reimagined what mobile app testing should be by empowering hundreds and even thousands of employees and/or contractors to be part of a user acceptance test process that is already delivering excellent results for early customers. In fact, many customers are reporting that they’re gaining a much clearer understanding of how their apps will actually perform in the market thanks to the fact that they have been tested by a broad group that actually represents real end-users.”
Apperian’s decision to angle enterprise app testing toward employees will certainly help separate its platform from Apple’s Testflight and other tools on the market. The company also recently announced it’s facilitated more than one million enterprise app downloads via its app management platform and doubled its revenue year-on-year for Q2 2014. So no signs of the enterprise market flagging any time soon. For more info head over to the Apperian website.
