A whopping 97.4% of apps in the Apple App Store represent just 7.6% of consumer spending falling under the $1 million annual threshold.

That’s according to new data by mobile data and analytics expert App Annie.

The latest findings are based on in-app earnings in 2019.

It highlights that some 567,000 apps (around 93% of apps generating in-app revenues) are falling below that threshold.

Meanwhile, 2.6% of developers accounted for 92.4% of consumer spending at annual turnovers above the $1 million mark.

They represent just 7.6% of all apps with in-app purchases.

Although App Annie expects that more apps could fall in between then $800,000 to $1 million mark, they generally represent just 1% of apps.
