Margarita’s colleagues would describe her as the multilingual sales ninja and mobile app privacy guru, the one who can close deals in four languages, break down mobile privacy like it’s storytelling, and still have the energy to coach, crack a joke, and lift the team spirit before lunch.

In your own words, what’s your role in the app business right now?

I’m the go-to person for helping mobile app businesses stay compliant without killing their user experience. I guide them through the messy world of data privacy, show them how to integrate consent tools that actually work, and make sure they don’t lose valuable marketing data along the way. Basically, I’m the bridge between legal requirements and business goals, with a sales hat on, a human touch, and a focus on helping them collect better-quality data to drive better results.

How did you end up working in apps?

I got started in apps about 3.5 years ago when I was hired as the first BDR for our mobile apps initiative. There were no processes, no real structure, just a blank canvas and a big opportunity. Since then, I’ve been focused on educating app and game publishers about data privacy, showing them how to stay compliant without sacrificing user experience or growth.

What are you most excited about in apps right now?

I’m excited about super apps that combine multiple services in one place, making life easier. Mental health and fitness apps are making people more aware of their well-being and are personalizing wellness like never before. Neo-banks, smart finance apps, and crypto wallets are reshaping how we manage money, with embedded finance making payments seamless. I also love the rise of privacy-first tech that gives users control without losing personalization.

Is there anyone you’d like to shout out to who has influenced your journey in the app industry?

Valerio Sudrio and Dave Unstead were the ones who introduced me to the app industry. They showed me how fun and engaging the people here are, which really inspired my journey.

What do you like most about working in apps?

I love working in apps because it’s innovative and fun. There are always fresh ideas, new things to learn, and a great vibe that keeps me motivated.

What one thing would you change about the app industry?

I’d love to see apps focus more on genuine user empowerment, giving people clearer control over their data and privacy without sacrificing personalization. There’s a big opportunity to build apps that are both highly useful and truly respect user trust, especially in emerging markets where privacy is often overlooked.

If you weren’t working in apps what would you be doing?

If I weren’t working in apps, I’d probably be exploring something creative and people-focused. Maybe coaching, public speaking, or helping others grow and find their passion.

iOS or Android?

I like both, but if I had to choose, I’d say iOS for its smooth user experience and strong privacy-focused ecosystem. Though Android’s flexibility and reach are impressive too.

What apps have been most useful to you over the last year?

Over the last year, currency converter apps have been a lifesaver since I travel a lot. Online banking and travel apps are my constant companions, and wellness and self-awareness apps help me stay balanced on the go.

What’s on your Spotify playlist?

On my Spotify party playlist, I’m all about Spanish and Greek tunes. But Coldplay’s “Yellow” is my all-time favorite because it reminds me of vacations and carefree moments. I always throw in “Are You With Me” because it vibes perfectly with sipping a margarita.

Any TV show recommendations?

This might sound a bit old-school, but I actually don’t have a Netflix account and don’t watch many TV shows. I’d much rather go for a walk with family or friends or dive into a good book.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

I’m passionate about connecting with people and helping them grow, whether through coaching, speaking, or just meaningful conversations. I love learning new languages and cultures, and I believe that a positive mindset and curiosity are key to both personal and professional success.
