Internet of Things platform myDevices has announced the launch of Cayenne, a simple to use online service and mobile app for building and managing IoT projects, that’s free to use. The platform is a continuation of myDevices connected device platform launched at the end of 2015, and is aimed at developers and makers.
Kevin Bromber, myDevices CEO, said:
“We are very excited to introduce the IoT community to Cayenne, our versatile developer and maker solution, first designed for the Raspberry Pi maker. There are a lot of IoT platforms on the market, yet there are few IoT platforms that actually let the developer build a project without having to dig deep into SDKs and APIs just to get a simple proof of concept created.”
Cayenne brings the build-a-website simplicity to the world if IoT projects
Describing it as, “an easy-to-use website builder, but for IoT projects,” that’s primarily based around the Raspberry Pi, Cayenne comes with the following features:
- Fast setup. Quickly connect to the Internet, sensors, extensions and actuators.
- Mobile app. Used to control, monitor, and initially set up devices and sensors
- Dashboard. Easy to use with drag-and-drop widgets
- Remote access. Make changes from a phone or a computer
The idea behind Cayenne was to help engineers make their IoT projects reality in hours, and not months. You can learn more about the platform by visiting the company’s dedicated website here.
