AppSheet, a technology company that produces an app development platform which requires no coding knowledge to use, has announced the completion of a $1.5m seed funding round. Investment company New Enterprise Associates led, and it brings AppSheet’s total investment to $2.1m.

The new funds are to be used for international expansion, increasing the number of employees at the company, and to further build the platform itself. Since its launch last year, AppSheet has attracted 30,000 users.

AppSheet’s platform has been used to build more than 50,000 apps, and clients include Sprint, Habitat for Humanity, and a wealth of small businesses. The platform makes it simple to create, customise, and launch a productivity app, complete with necessary security and business integration features.
