Pinterest, the popular hobby blogging site, has just expanded its advertising programme beyond English language borders and will be rolling out Pinterest Ads in France.
Pinterest users in France now save an average 3 million Pins each day relating to their individual interests across popular categories such as food, DIY, home décor and fashion.
Meanwhile, Promoted Pins are a popular option among brands to reach Pinners. Additionally, Pinterest continues to expand the form and recently rolled out Promoted Carousel ads which allow advertisers to feature more images for a more immersive experience.
Adrien Boyer, France Country Manager at Pinterest, explained: “We believe our ads program brings a special value in advertising by enabling brands to reach people who are actively considering what to do or buy next but haven’t decided who to buy from. It is this intent, which is early in the buying process that is different than any other platform. Now, all businesses can use Promoted Pins to reach people in France while they’re discovering relevant, useful ideas on Pinterest.”
Over the last few months, Pinterest has been working with partners in the country including Guerlain, Tiptoe, Picard, Louis Vuitton, and Air France to drive brand awareness and boost their sales.
For example, cosmetic brand Guerlain used Promoted Pins and Videos to launch its Black Perfecto perfume.
”Pinterest is 100% aligned with our branding objectives,” said Jérôme Grange, Head of media for Guerlain. “The platform combines a powerful reach, targeting, context, in an highly-qualitative environment ensuring brand safety. Pinterest is a very relevant media, but also complementary with the others digital platforms on which we advertise.”
With the addition, Pinterest ads are now available in seven countries including Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, and US.
