Pareteum acquires Devicescape for location-specific mobile engagements

Pareteum Corporation, the cloud software communications platform, has acquired mobile location solutions provider Devicescape.

Devicescape provides a software that sends out alerts when devices enter venues and allow clients to deliver location-specific mobile engagements including in-app ads, coupons and reminders. Additionally, clients are able to collect first-party location data.

Through the acquisition, Pareteum’s clients which include IoT and communications service providers and B2C brands, will be able to connect mobile users and devices to public places worldwide.

The Devicescape solution is powered by its Curated Virtual Network (CVN), which adds beacon functionality without the need for new infrastructure by tagging access points with contextual data, such as geographic location and venue name.
