The demand for child care services and early childhood education alternatives has skyrocketed due to the increase of women in the workforce and the number of single parent homes.

Kasey Edwards, Founder & Co-CEO of Helpr and her business partner are addressing that need with their innovative new app for on-demand childcare. Parents can find high quality professionals in as little as 3 hours notice or schedule it up to 3 months in advance. The new service currently serves the Southern California area with thoroughly vetted babysitters available on a moment’s notice.

The pool of Helpr’s are sourced primarily from referrals of the founders parent company University Sitters, a premier boutique agency that has been helping parents find loving childcare professionals for over 8 years. All Helpr’s are engaging positive role models, who are primarily University students looking to supplement their income.

Kasey Edwards, Founder & Co-CEO of Helpr and her business partner are now taking their learnings using technology targeting the on demand audience. The Helpr app supports families that have moved recently that don’t have a rolodex of babysitters, and parents that are looking for quick help for date nights, back up care and errands. Helpr can provide sitters to your doorstep in three hours. The company differentiates from other online child care sites that do little sitter screening and don’t support on demand services.

Helpr acquires their users by connecting with mom’s and dad’s groups and hosting lunches at companies, where the company acts as a supportive resource for parents. The company has found that in-person connections in the community with Helpr’s team is the best way to garner trust, to develop more word of mouth referrals and recommendations. Helpr also utilizes email marketing and special offers to attract and engage new and existing customers.
