Dev agency MEA Mobile expands into Australia

App development agency MEA Mobile has expanded down under, opening-up its first office in Sydney.

MEA Mobile specialises in mobile photo and video apps – having developed the popular iSupr8 iOS application under its own name – while also working across app genres for big name clients such as Levi, Samsung, BlackBerry and Rip Curl. The New Zealand-based company, which already has offices in the US, said it’s already worked closely with a number of Aussie companies on app projects and is looking forward to solidifying its presence in the country.

Here’s what MEA Mobile CEO Rod Macfarlane had to say:

“We are thrilled to be able to extend our reach and offer our services locally in Australia. We’ve already worked on a number of projects for Australian companies from our New Zealand office and look forward to expanding MEA’s brand presence in this market.”

New Australian managing director David King added:

“MEA offers one of the highest standards and quickest turnaround times in app development, web development and digital advertising services and I am very much looking forward to helping them establish a thriving business in Australia.”

MEA, which launched back in 2007, merged with local creative agency Verdict Communications last year bringing its head count to around 40. The firm will join a bustling mobile development scene in Australia, which includes local agencies such as buzinga, Appster, Outware and Wave Digital. For more info check out the site.
