Analytics for Stories are coming to Instagram’s Business Tools, along with the chance to deliver full-screen ads on the recently introduced ephemeral photo-sharing feature. Launched back in August, Instagram Stories are a hit, with 150 million Instagram users enjoying the feature every day.
If your business uses Instagram and has a business profile, analytics that provide data on impressions, reach, replies, and exits will be added to Business Tools for each Story in your feed. Business accounts are popular on Instagram, with 70% of users following at least one.
Instagram has introduced analytics for Stories
Stories also create engagement, with one in five posted receiving a direct message from a viewer, so it makes good sense to introduce full screen Story ads. The back-end will provide targeting, reach, and measurement data. At least 30 brands are testing out the ads, including Airbnb, Netflix, Qantas, Capital One, and Nike.
Instagram states in the announcement blog post:
“Instagram Stories will roll out globally on the reach objective and to all interfaces in the coming weeks. From there, we’ll help you meet even more of your business objectives with direct response options available in the coming months. While we’re just getting started with ads in stories, we’re excited to launch even more ways to help you achieve your business needs in the future.”
