Apple has acquired BuddyBuild, an app tool company that describes itself as a, “mobile iteration platform,” in a deal announced by the company. No financial information has been released, but it has been confirmed BuddyBuild will become part of Apple’s Xcode development suite.
The Canadian firm will remain in Vancouver, but will no longer accept new customers of its own, and existing free starter plans will be discontinued on March 1. However, existing full plans will be available through the site as usual, just as a standalone product.
BuddyBuild had added Android support to the platform in 2017, but this will no longer be available once the acquisition is final.
