Five of the top twenty most popular SDKs for Apple’s iOS mobile platform are made by Facebook, showing the social network’s importance in mobile app development, with the Facebook SDK itself used by 69% of the top 200 apps. The data comes from MightySignal, a mobile data insight company, in its list of the top 200 SDKs currently used.
Facebook takes five of the top 20 spots in MightSignal’s SDK chart
Facebook’s login SDK takes the number three spot, with the Facebook sharing SDK in seventh, and the Core SDK in ninth. Finally, the Facebook Audience Network SDK is in 18th.
Google manages three of the top 20 most used SDKs. Its AdMob SDK is in fifth place, and used by 43% of the top 200 apps, while Google Analytics SDK is in 11th, and its Mobile Ads SDK is in 14th.
