Live mapping technology company Waze has launched the Waze Transport SDK, ready for developers to build the company’s features into their own apps. In addition, it has announced a series of high profile partners that will integrate the SDK, including Lyft, JustPark, Cabify, Genesis Pulse, Cornershop, and 99Taxis.
Waze has launched the Transport SDK, and announced partnerships with apps including Lyft
Compatible with apps that operate in any country where Waze works, the SDK offers significant benefits — from live traffic incident reports to road conditions — most of which happen in the background. Waze is owned by Google, and many of its features can be found in Google Maps, ranging from the handy ETA data, and re-routing plans.
The SDK is completely free, but for now developers will need to apply for access. To do so, visit Waze’s dedicated SDK webpage here.
