Zynga acquires mobile puzzle game developer Peak for $1.8 billion

American social gaming developer Zynga has entered an agreement to acquire Peak, the Instanbul-based mobile puzzle game maker for $1.8 billion.

Peak’s top games include Toon Blast and Toy Blast, both of which have ranked in the top 20 for US iPhone grossing games over the last two years.

Together, the games boast 12 million average mobile daily active users.

Peak which was founded in 2010 how has a team of 100 employees.

For Zynga the addition will be a real bonus for the development of some of the projects it currently has in the pipeline.

With Peak, Zynga may be able to grow its daily active users by over 60% and expand its international audience.
