Twice the fun for Phunware as second Series F funding round ends with $22m

Mobile app engagement, monetisation, and management platform Phunware has completed the second phase of its Series F funding round, adding an additional $22m to the existing amount, bringing the overall total to $40m raised. Charting back through all Phunware’s fund raising sees the company with a grand total of $90m funding since 2009.

The Government of Malaysia’s strategic investment arm Khazanah Nasional Berhad led the round, with Wavemaker Partners and PLDT Capital also getting involved. A variety of existing investors, including Maxima Ventures, and Fraser McCombs Capital also participated.
