Tappx, the open cross-platform app promotion community, now supports Mozilla’s Firefox OS operating system. The fledgling software, which is an open source alternative to Google Android, joins iOS and Android at Tappx, plus plugins for the majority of frameworks, such as Unity and AdobeAir.
Tappx credits are earned by displaying ads, then can be spent on app promotion

The Tappx platform is a cross-promotion exchange, where members host each others ads in their apps. It’s all driven by Tappx’s own credit system, and they’re earned by hosting ads, then used to launch developer’s own ad campaigns on the network. Firefox OS is now an official addition to the Tappx family, following a recent successful trial.
Daniel Reina, Tappx’s CEO, said:

“We are very happy to bring the value and power of collaborative cross-promotion to Firefox OS developers. Our mission is to help app developers acquire downloads and active users without draining their banks. This is why we’re proud to announce that Tappx Community is completely compatible with FirefoxOS developers, and that all are welcome to join us and start promoting their apps for free.”

Mozilla’s Firefox OS is designed for use on a variety of devices, primarily smartphones, and companies including ZTE, LG, and Alcatel OneTouch have all released hardware using the OS. The low cost of Firefox OS hardware has made it popular in emerging markets.
Tappx’s community has more than 3000 members, with developers including Play.im and GamePill among them, and is active in more than 115 countries around the world. You can learn more about the company by visiting its profile here.
