Snapchat has apparently been testing an ad network that would allow advertisers to place ads on other apps.
The Snap Audience Network lets marketers use full-screen Snap Ads in third-party apps, according to unnamed sources sharing the news with Business Insider.
Snap has been quietly testing the feature with just two brands.
The move is in line with plans the company announced last year to extend its audience network to third-party mobile apps.
The expansion of the Snap Audience Network aims to help app developers to reach a larger audience through app monetisation whilst giving advertisers and brands the tools they need to reach more potential shoppers.
At the same time, Snap has begun to promote its audience network by sharing information on how advertisers can use the Snapchat Ads Manager and begin to create creative ads for the app.
