Snapchat has confirmed that its mini apps are now live.

Called Snap Minis, the simplified versions of app that users can access via Snapchat Chat were originally announced back in June.

The mini apps are based on HTML designs and allow users to perform a wide range of functions without cluttering the functions of the main Snapchat app.

The Minis set to go live include Headspace, Flashcards, Prediction Master and Let’s Do It.

Others that will go live shortly include a Coachella app, ticket app Atom and Saturn for class schedule sharing.

The integration is similar to WeChat’s miniature apps and PhonePe and Paytm. Many of these smaller apps offer very specific simple functions such as booking tickets or ordering taxis or food.
