Snap has teamed up with eCommerce platform Shopify to allow merchants to buy and manage their Snapchat ads from within the Shopify platform.
The integration marks Shopify becoming Snap’s third major partner of its Snapchat Ads App.
Previously, merchants had to manually install Snap Pixel into their source code, after exporting their product catalouges and uploading them separately into the Snapchat Ads Manager
Now, they can easily connect their Shopify store to the Snap Ads Manager and create ads.
In other words, Snapchat Story Ads campaigns can now be managed from within the Shopify self-serve interface. Existing targeting features include demographics, interests and geography.
The feature will be available in the next few weeks.
In addition to Snap Ads, Shopify is also debuting an integration for Dynamics Ads for Facebook.
“With Facebook’s dynamic ads, merchants can simply set their campaign goals and the right products will be surfaced to the right customers through Facebook’s platform, while syncing with Shopify for updated pricing and product availability,” the company said in a statement.
