Pinterest is making it even easier for Pinners to shop using their cameras.
The popular hobby blogging site announced the addition of a shop tab on Lens results.
The update follows 3x as many visual searches using the Pinterest camera.
Users can upload a photo by clicking on the camera in the search bar and Pinterest then identifies stoppable Pins of in-stock products.
Each Product Pin links to a checkout page of the respective retailer.
It’s a great way for shoppers to identify similar products to the ones they’re interested in – from DIY products to fashion items.
According to Pinterest, half of items snapped through Lens are fashion and home decor products. Among the top shopped products using Lens are prints and artworks, shirts, dresses, shoes and mirrors and rugs.
Pinterest also introduced a “try on” feature that lets users test stoppable lip colours using artificial intelligence technologies.
The blogging site also revealed that searches for at-home beauty products increased 30% over the last few months while sweatpants searches roses 12%.
Home office searches jumped 2.7x in February to April.
Earlier this year, Pinterest partnered with Shopify to boost sales among small businesses and rolled out curated picks from influencers.
