Mobify, the mobile engagement platform provider, has launched its Web Engagement Messaging solution that lets retailers engage consumers using web push notifications. In addition, Mobify is first to implement Google web push notifications since their availability for Chrome in mid-2015.
Mobify launches Web Engagement Messaging
Notifications are a big trend in retail marketing, according to Mary Meeker’s 2015 Internet Trends Report from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers. This has shown in a rise of in-app notifications. With Mobify’s Web Engagement solution, notifications are taken to the web. Real-time messages pop up after opt-in, providing more targeted information than an email campaign. Not limiting notifications to apps, makes it easier to engage a larger audiences.
The new solution runs on Google Chrome for Android and is supported on Safari and Chrome, reaching 55% of all users. Sales retailer Beyond the Rack is the first to implement the Web Engagement Messaging solution. Prior to Mobify, the retailer relied on consumers to check emails to generate sales. Using Mobify, the retailer reached a 20% CTR and 26% average increase in consumer spend visiting the site.
Igor Faletski, CEO, Mobify, says:
“Shoppers are looking for contextually relevant, real-time information about the brands and retailers they do business with, and they want to know about today’s flash sale today, not the day after it ended because it got placed in the ‘promotions’ tab of their gmail box. Web Engagement Messaging is a great example of how you can reach high-attention customers with an offer that is relevant and exciting. Our customers are starting to show their engagement when using web push by spending an average 72% more on a site per visit. More importantly, they’re showing their preferences for specific retailer and brands through higher conversion rates and average order values.”
