LinkedIn has apparently been testing Stories and is now gearing up to roll out the beta version of the popular feature popularised by Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram.
Pete Davis, senior director of product management at LinkedIn, said in a blog post that Stories provided a unique possibility to network.
“For example, the sequencing of the Stories format is great for sharing key moments from work events, the full-screen narrative style makes it easy to share tips and tricks that help us work smarter,” he wrote.
The feature will initially be available for LinkedIn users, but it’s likely that the platform will roll out Stories for advertisers in the near future.
From the get-go it will enable recruiters and companies to share updates with their audiences in a more news-style, day-to-day format.
Stories offer bite-sized information content and can be used to drive traffic to websites and other posts.
