Kargo announces two new hires to grow mobile advertising business

Mobile brand advertiser Kargo has appointed two industry veterans to help grow the company’s programmatic and managed services.
Ryan Polley has been announced as the first Chief Product Officer at Kargo, whilst Julie Vaughn Ruef joins as General Manager of SHOPS. The latter is a self-service platform which lets brands buy targeted mobile advertising on world-class editorial sites and apps from within a single dashboard.
Both executives are reporting to Ryan McConville, Kargo’s President and COO. He says:

“Kargo’s programmatic and SHOPS platforms have already achieved impressive double-digit growth since they were introduced late last year. I’m confident that Ryan and Julie will continue to drive this strong momentum and help advertisers reach mass mobile audiences with the right products without sacrificing ad quality or brand safety.”

Last year, Kargo launched a programmatic and software business and opened international offices in the UK and Australia. It also grew its workforce by 60% and ran a major mobile research initiative.
Polley will be overseeing the development, management and strategic implementation of the Kargo product portfolio. He joins from Rubicon where he held the position of Senior VP of Product Management and Strategy.
Vaughn Ruef will be in charge of growth and development of the Kargo SHOPS platform. Building awareness and implementing the platform across client segments will be key responsibilities. Before joining Kargo, she oversaw business development at mobile startup Message Me.
