Following the success of short-video app TikTok, it appears that Google is trying to join in.
The Android maker has revealed its new Tangi app which aims to help people learn new things by viewing short videos.
Created by Google’s Area 120, the app lets users shoot short videos that are all about DIY.
Whether you’re looking to learn to cook or want to explore some new make-up tricks, Tangi has you covered.
It seems reasonable to assume that the mash-up between popular YouTube educational videos and the success of short-form video could prove a hit among users.
Video length is restricted to 60 seconds with Tangi.
Much like on TikTok, users can create a community and gain followers.
For now though, Tangi only features videos by creators Google partnered with for the launch of the app. Registration for others to create their own content is already open.
