App maker Gismart has partnered with Snapchat to launch a new real-time multiplayer game called Color Galaxy for the social messaging app.
The game which lets players conquer planets together featuring Bitmojis was created exclusively for Snap Games.
The idea is that Snapchatters play to gain and expand territories. Friends are easy to spot in-game and there are no in-game purchases, but successful play is rewarded through coins.
“Snap Games is all about sharing experiences with your friends, even when you can’t be together. Color Galaxy is a brilliant example of this, letting friends conquer the galaxy, with or against each other, directly from chat. We’re excited to bring this fun, fast-paced, and competitive new game to our Snapchat community,” said John Imah, Snap’s Head of Games Partnerships.
Gismart has been partnering with various platforms to extend its reach. The company enjoys over 500 million installs on mobile and is known for its hyper-casual and idle games, and music entertainment apps portfolio.
The company announced a 2000% revenue increase from 2017 to $100 million in 2019.
“We’re thrilled to join the Snap Games platform and introduce players to the whimsical, customizable worlds of Color Galaxy. Tapping into Snap’s social features like Bitmoji avatars, Snippets, and augmented reality Lenses make it even easier for Snapchatters to connect with their friends and share fun moments from the game. A gaming experience like this can only come to life on Snapchat, and we can’t wait to see the response from Snapchat Users worldwide,” said Lana Meisak, VP Business Development and Marketing at Gismart.
