South African field sales and management app Skynamo has outlined plans for global expansion after securing a $30 million investment. The Series A round was led by software investor Five Elms Capital.
Skynamo is a mobile-first app that provides sales reps with on-demand access to customer and product information while on the road. It also makes data entry easier, which in turn improves the volume and quality of data collected in the field.
The application claims to improve the productivity and effectiveness of sales staff by digitising paper-based processes and automating admin task. It also provides managers with a real-time view of activity, so they can coach their reps remotely.
Sam Clarke, CEO of Skynamo, said:

Skynamo currently boasts more than 6,500 manufacturing, wholesale and distribution users across Southern Africa, New Zealand, the UK and the US.
It will use the funding to scale up operations to improve service to its growing customer base.
