Facebook’s Messenger is getting a bit of facelift to focus more heavily on Stories rather than chatbots.

The social network has removed the Discover tab that previously allowed users to discover businesses nearby and chat to bots.

For now, Discover has only been removed on iOS devices.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the move was part of a wider revamp to redesign the messaging app, reports TechCrunch.

A tab called “People” in Messenger will now show just Stories and Active.

The Stories tab is the same as it is on Facebook and Instagram – posts disappear within 24 hours and it will be showing adverts.

Chatbots and businesses can still be searched for via the search bar or Facebook Pages.
