Facebook makes it easier for Page admins to engage top fans

Facebook plans to roll out updates for Pages which would allow administrators to reach top fans through specific posts.

The addition lets admins create posts targeting their top Page fans to ‘thank them or share exclusive content’.

This enables Pages to form stronger connections with fans and bolster engagement and interaction opportunities.

Pages will need to turn on a Top Fans badge within their Page settings first in order for the new feature to make sense and become available. This is only available to Pages with more than 10,000 followers.

Although this may be considered restrictive by some Pages, the feature could address organic reach for Pages looking to go beyond using traditional Posts and adverts to  engage users.

The option has been available to some users for a while now, but may not be widely rolled out just yet.
