According to a company blog post, around 700 million people play games and view gaming videos each month on Facebook.
Facebook added that it was committed to continue to test features of the new gaming hub to ensure it matches user expectations.
To begin with, just a few users will be able to test the gaming hub. Access will then be expanded to a growing number of game enthusiasts.
At the same time, the network announced that it was beta testing a standalone Facebook Gaming app on Android, which includes even more features that those in the hub.
