Epic Games has started a waiting list for players eager to play Fortnite on their Android devices. The game is a Samsung exclusive at the moment, but is now in the early stages of being made available to more Android device owners.

The game is currently only available through Samsung’s Galaxy Apps store. Players who visit Epic’s website must sing-up for an invitation to download the game on a non-Samsung device. There is no indication how long the wait will be before being able to download the game.

Fortnite Android beta is coming soon

There is also a restriction on which phones will run the game. The list is extensive and includes Google’s Pixel phones, gaming phones from Razer, Xiaomi, and Asus, plus flagship smartphones from LG, Huawei, Honor, ZTE, and OnePlus.

Epic Games says some devices may not play the game at all, including some Sony and HTC models, and says the minimum requirements are 3GB of RAM, Android 5.0 or later, and a modern GPU.

The game will not be downloaded from Google Play, but from Epic itself, and an email invitation will be sent out to players who signed up for the waiting list.
