U.S. events organiser, Clarion Events, recently acquired MAU, the mobile acquisition and retention summit which is held each year in Las Vegas.

Clarion hopes to expand its portfolio of digital marketing and tech events with the addition of MAU.

More than 2,500 experts across mobile brands such as Expedia, Zillow, Amazon, Twitch and Hopper join MAU each year.

The event is as much about discussing actionable content as it is about brands presenting their top talent. By connecting with other brands, MAU fosters an environment where the mobile marketing industry gets together to build and expand relationships.

“Delivering an exceptional summit experience which is led by the best content and connections in the mobile acquisition space is increasingly important and priority for our event as the tech business continues to grow. The partnership with Clarion Events North America will allow the event to quickly be well-resourced and infuse innovative thinking that will transform the summit experience” said Adam Lovallo, MAU Digital Marketing Specialist.

As part of the acquisition, Michelle Troop, an industry veteran, will be leading the MAU event in MAy.

“I’m thrilled about our partnership with MAU,” said Greg Topalian, CEO of Clarion Events North America. “[I]t will not only accelerate growth for the North American business in the digital marketing sector with recently acquired Traffic & Conversion Summit and the expansion of Digital Agency Expo but will further drive innovation within the technology space to continue to meet the changing needs of MAU customers.  We are excited to welcome MAU into the team at Clarion. This is an exciting milestone, and I look forward to what we’ll deliver together to the current and future customers of MAU.”
