AppScatter, a service which takes the pain of submitting apps to app stores away from developers, will launch as a beta in August, ready for its full public debut in October. AppScatter has researched the many alternative app stores available, and refined the list down to 50 of the best performing examples. It provides a centralised distribution platform for companies and developers to add their apps to all these stores.
“The platform is for anyone who wants more visibility, international reach. The problem with putting an app into Google Play or Apple’s store is it’s really difficult to get featured—you have to pump a lot of money into getting seen. In an alternative store, you’re 20 times more likely to get seen.”
The AppScatter platform provides automated registration for the 50 app stores on its list, complete with one-step app submissions. Apps for Android, iOS, Windows, and BlackBerry are all supported, and App Annie, Google, and Flurry’s analytics can be integrated. AppScatter also provides performance reports for sales and downloads.
