Apple has officially launched an app dedicated to the Covid-19 pandemic. The app provides reliable and regularly updated information on the coronavirus and how people can stay safe.

Created with the White House Coronavirus Task Force and FEMA, the app is officially available from the App Store.

App users are able to find answers to questions including risks, exposure and symptoms, social distancing and self-isolation.

A screening tool is included to assess symptoms. However, Apple cautioned that this should not replace a doctor’s instructions.

Siri can also be queried on how to stay safe and access information from the app and task force.

The technology company confirmed that it would not collect user information from the screening tool and instead all information provided would remain private and safe.
