Mobile measurement and fraud prevention solutions provider, Adjust, has acquired Force Operation X (F.O.X), which provides ad effectiveness measurement tools for apps.

F.O.X has been created by the Japanese marketing agency CyberZ. It tracks and measures ads in-app.

The acquisition paves the way for Adjust to invest in Japan’s mobile economy and bolster its global expansion. Adjust established its Japanese operations in 2014 and has clients such as Rakuten, LINE and DeNA Co.

“There are a lot of clear synergies between Adjust and CyberZ, and the company’s international outlook and commitment to innovation makes it a natural fit for Adjust,” commented Naoki Sassa, Country Manager Japan at Adjust. “As one of Japan’s leading advertising agencies, it’s an honor to enter into a strategic partnership with CyberAgent Group and further cement our position in the Japanese market.”

Back in December 2018, Adjust acquired data aggregation platform Acquired.io and cybersecurity start-up Unbotify.

“Since founding CyberZ in 2009, we have been helping clients in Japan and abroad to achieve their goals in smartphone marketing,” commented Akira Ichikawa, Director at CyberZ. “We’re looking forward to working closely with Adjust, and move toward our shared goals of unifying marketer’s activities and helping them build the best apps in the world.”

Earlier this year, Adjust raised $230 million to invest in its products and acquire more talent.
