If managing your app marketing campaign is a headache, then take a look at Appboy’s Canvas, a new management tool that helps you control the flow of messages, increasing engagement and making the experience more user friendly.

Canvas presents a simple interface that visualises how a user is working through your app, along with dynamic messaging options to keep them engaged, including push notifications and email alerts. The system allows you to test strategies before deploying them, for maximum effectiveness.

Each Canvas can hold several campaigns based around actions and reactions, broken down onto individual steps, complete with a test phase and optimisation options for longer campaigns.

The blog post announcing Canvas says:

“Appboy Canvas makes it possible for marketers to plan ahead for a wide variety of customer actions and create a comprehensive messaging strategy that fits each situation and encourages desired actions and deeper brand engagement. Even better, marketers can easily test the content of specific messages, audience targeting, message cadences and more, all within Canvas’s visual interface. The tool also includes robust collaborative features, allowing team members to work together to build and manage customer experiences.”

Examples of campaigns that can be run through Canvas include those for teaching new users about the app, offering discounted in-app purchases, and bringing customers with items left in a shopping cart back to the app.

Visit Appboy’s Canvas site here for more information on the service, and to apply for a demonstration.
