What’s your job title and what does this involve?
I’m Engineer.ai’s Co-founder & Chief Wizard. I co-founded the business with Saurabh Dhoot. I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and I thoroughly enjoy building the business and solving problems to allow the company to grow. I am very hands on in all aspects of the company, from Product and Engineering, to Business Development and Marketing.
Where do you work in the app industry and what does the company do?
Engineer.ai is a Human-assisted AI that empowers everyone to independently build & operate tech products through two products that work together to be their virtual engineering team.
Engineer.ai is on a mission to be the connection between ideas and products for everyone; whether you’re building something new or operating already on the cloud; empowering them to achieve more by doing less.
What are the big trends you see in the app market right now?
The app economy is shifting towards the consumer side of the spectrum. Consumers are closer to technology and are becoming product designers themselves. We think about how to solve these challenges with each and every customer that we take on. Ultimately, Engineer.ai is doing to Software Development what ‘Henry Ford did to auto manufacturing’ – automating the process by putting it on the Assembly line which connects AI & Human teams; thereby streamlining, automating and reducing cost at 2x the speed and ⅓ the price.
What is the best thing about working in apps and mobile?
Engineer.ai is set to rethink software development services and disrupt an industry currently estimated at 351 bn dollars.
We are tapping into a multi-trillion dollar market with 140 million new businesses and entrepreneurs joining the economy every year.
What is the one thing you’d like to change about the app business?
In the last decade, the buyer of software development has changed completely; from CIO and tech professional to small business owner or the individual dreamer. Everyone doesn’t need to code, most people just need the tools to convert their ideas to products. Builder offers exactly that. Our vision is to be at the intersection between dream and product. Despite how ubiquitous technology has become, most product ideas still seem impossible to bring to life for anyone without technical skills. We want to change that and make it simple, fast and affordable to build technology; an app or website, and whether you are a business or someone trying to make the world a better place.
If you didn’t work in apps, what would be your dream job?
I’m an entrepreneur at heart, I’ve built and scaled a few companies before. I would undoubtedly be running a business.
What mobile devices do you use?
I use an iPhone.
What are your favorite apps and games?
I couldn’t live without Whatsapp. I use if for business as much as for personal purposes. I also Facebook Messenger and Newton email for work. And I’m a heavy user of Slack with my team.
What do you think of the Apple Watch?
It’s cool but I wear a Hublot!
